Health Awareness Team (HAT)

The Health Awareness Team as an integral part of the National Baptist Convention of America, Incorporated, is a humanitarian service-oriented group designed to render first aid and medical assistance for all members of NBCA, Inc. Its overall goal is to minister to the physical needs of the family of God. Its objectives are to render first aid and medical treatment in the church, in the homes, at church community functions, at the Convention and wherever cries of human beings of the family of God need physical attention. They are to assist in the healing process so that persons are restored to wholeness; to provide first aid and medical counseling for further professional diagnosis and to remain Christian nurses rather than Christian professionals.

Additionally, they are to participate in a daily life of prayer and Bible Study; to foster unity among the Corps and a unity of faith in service; to become biblical tithers in the local church; to use the literature written and published by NBCA, Inc.; to support NBCA, Inc. systematically as a corporate corps and as individuals through the Covenant Action Plan (CAP). Finally, they are be financially accountable to NBCA, Inc. as a corporate corps for the receipt of revenue and expenses incurred; and to serve the cause of education, mission, and evangelism through the ministry of humanitarian service.

Contact the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc. for questions or concerns about this ministry and how you or your organization can join us in spreading the Good News of Christ. Feel free to send in your Feedback.
