Emergency Relief for Haiti
HaitiMap2

Dr. John C. Raphael, Sr. will be in Haiti on Monday, January 24th. We have been informed that our Superindent suffered injuries but his spirit is positive.  Keep him in your prayers as he is the only survivor in his family. We believe our mission sites have been destroyed, First Baptist Church of Pentionville (Port-au-Prince) and Emmanuel Institute.  Quoting a wise Pastor, “Emergency demands Urgency.” I am appealing for an immediate response on behalf of your church, associations and state conventions to give Dollars for the Haitian Disaster. This Sunday is a good time to receive an offering. We encourage you to send in funds to the Dallas Headquarters Office made payable to: NBCA Relief Fund

Supplies will be transported via ship to Haiti and distributed as part of a joint effort with the Lott Carey Foreign Mission Convention and National Baptist Convention of America, Inc. International. I will be traveling to Haiti with Dr. Julius R. Scruggs, National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. , Dr. T. DeWitt Smith, Jr., Progressive National Missionary Baptist Convention Inc. and Dr. C. C. Robertson, National Missionary Baptist Convention of America in the near future.  We are responding to the needs of 1/3 of the population of people of the African Diaspora with a Prayer, Care, and Share concern knowing that those who give to the poor lend to the Lord, Proverbs 19:17.

Dr. Emmanuel Dorgbadzi leads the largest of the mission fields supported by NBCA.  As the founder of Bryant Mission, Dr. Dorgbadzi is the overseer of 37 churches located throughout Ghana.  Every church was established as a result of Dr. Dorgbadzi's evangelistic efforts in the cities and villages in which it is currently located.  Pastors under his leadership are assigned to each church and are monthly supported by NBCA.
NEEDS: Bibles, hospital equipment, medicines and medical supplies, completion of church buildings, completion of E. Edward Jones Polytechnic School & Seminary and sponsors for schools.

The Panama mission field is under the leadership of Rev. Joseph Parish.  Rev. Parrish pastors the National Baptist Church of Panama and also oversees the Trinity Baptist Church which is under the pastorate of Rev. George Brown.
NEEDS: Bibles, Sunday School Literature, renovation of Trinity Baptist Church ($40,000).

The Jamaica mission field is under the leadership of Rev. John Campbell and Rev. James Aljoie.  They faithfully serve churches extended throughout a large area of the country, including rough mountainous regions.
