| January 13, 2010 Dr. John C. Raphael, Sr. will be in Haiti on Monday, January 24th. We have been informed that our Superindent suffered injuries but his spirit is positive. Keep him in your prayers as he is the only survivor in his family. We believe our mission sites have been destroyed, First Baptist Church of Pentionville (Port-au-Prince) and Emmanuel Institute. Quoting a wise Pastor, “Emergency demands Urgency.” I am appealing for an immediate response on behalf of your church, associations and state conventions to give Dollars for the Haitian Disaster. International. I will be traveling to Haiti with Dr. Julius R. Scruggs, National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. , Dr. T. DeWitt Smith, Jr., Progressive National Missionary Baptist Convention, Inc. and Dr. C. C. Robertson, National Missionary Baptist Convention of America in the near future. We are responding to the needs of 1/3 of the population of people of the African Diaspora with a Prayer, Care, and Share concern knowing that those who give to the poor lend to the Lord, Proverbs 19:17 .
